Black Ops Update

September 17, 2010 in Gaming, PC, PS3, Wii, XBOX 360

I have been on the hunt for more Black Ops info for you and I have found a few more delicious morsels for you all to sink your teeth into.  So earlier this week, I told you a bit about Wager Matches(and the video had a bit of info about them as well), with these wager matches, you put up your hard earned “Call of Duty Points” up for grabs in special multiplayer matches.  Included in this mode are 4 different match types:

Wager Matches

One in the Chamber:  Each player is given a pistol with one bullet and a knife.  For every kill that you get, you are awarded ONE more bullet.  There is a catch though, you (and your opponents) only have three lives.

Sharpshooter:  In this match type, all players are given a random weapon of the same type and this weapon will cycle every 45 seconds before being switched randomly to another.   Each kill will earn the player different perks and score multipliers.

Sticks and Stones: In this game mode, all players will only receive a crossbow, a knife, and a Tomahawk.  The kicker in this match type is, if you get hit with a Tomahawk, your CDPs go bye bye and you go bankrupt.

Gun Game:  In this mode all players begin with a pistol and work their way up.  For each kill the player gets, they move up a level, resulting in a better gun and the first player to get 20 kills with all 20 weapons is the victor.  Oh yeah, if you happen to get knived, you move down a level.

A problem (although a minor one) I have had with all Call of Duty entries has been that my character doesn’t feel like its ME…  Well the guys at Treyarch have answered my multiplayin’ prayers and have included a new feature in Call of Duty Black Ops called Create a Class 2.0.  This feature will allow players to not only customize their loadout, but they can also add a more personal touch to their character.  While you are selecting a class, you can now see your character, who’s basic appearance will be determined by the Tier 1 Perk that is selected.  There is also an option to select a facepaint pattern as well as customize (choose) your gun’s sights, and gun camo (which will be more plentiful this go round).  Plus your clan tag can also be engraved onto your gun.
